U-BRACES
Need a little extra support?
Our U-braces are used primarily for extra support with peaks on 24' wide to 30'
wide buildings. This U-brace is made from the same material we use for our hat
purlins. We manufacture them from 18 gauge material. The dimensions are 2x2x2.
They fit snug into any 2" material. We recommend attaching this material with a
minimum of 4 frame screws (2 per side, front and back).
Another use for our U-brace is on the side posts. Whether they are welded or bent,
U-bracing is optional on the side posts for people that are in high snow load areas or
buildings over 22' in width.
